Bethany Lutheran Church

The mission of the Bethany Foundation is to create and maintain a financial base for the future of the congregation by means of a growing, well-managed permanent endowment.

RENEWING STUDENTS: If you currently attend a Lutheran College or other Christian College in full-affiliation with ELCA, or if you are accepted for enrollment next year, the application deadline for 2011-2012 Bethany scholarships is February 1, 2012.  This $1,000 scholarship is renewable from year to year. The APPLICATIONS can be found below.  Just mail/email the completed application to the church to the attention of Janice Lyon at janice@bethany-denver.org.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:  Bethany’s scholarship can be matched by most of the Lutheran colleges.  Their deadline for matching funds typically occurs prior to May 1, 2012.  If you have applied and been accepted, please let us know; we will work with your school to reserve the funds.  If you have any questions, please contact Matt Christian at mchristian@otie.com.

OTHER REQUESTS FOR FUNDING:  Requests for funding by the Bethany Foundation can be initiated by completing the Grant Request form.  Please review the Distribution Policy (updated 7/11) prior to completion of your request.

Kathy Eggleston Music Internship Application

Applicant must be a music student with a desire to have a part-time or full-time career in Christian music ministry. Internships are in the amount of up to $2,500 for a six-week summer music internship at Bethany Lutheran Church (lesser amounts available for shorter internships).  Summer Internship – May 1, Christmas/Winter Internship – November 1.

Kathy Eggleston Music Ministry Scholarship Application

Applicant must be a member of Bethany Lutheran Church who is in a course of study toward full-time or part-time employment in Christian music ministry. Scholarships are from $1,000 to $2,500.  Renewal Applications due:  February 1, New Applications due:  May 1.

Lutheran Seminary Scholarship Application

Applicant must be a member of Bethany Lutheran Church or demonstrate significant involvement with the mission of Bethany Lutheran Church.  Scholarships amounts are at the Foundation’s discretion, and are currently for up to $3,000 per academic year.   Scholarships are renewable for up to four years.
